I am lucky to have had the opportunities to travel to many different states and countries around the world. My parents are both Air Force veterans and my dad is currently a pilot for American Airlines based in Charlotte, NC. I have grown up around planes and I fly constantly, mainly between NC and NJ for school.

I had the privilege of living in Barcelona, Spain for the month of June in 2018. I was part of a program called Absolute Internship, which I found through the National Society for Collegiate Scholars member website. During that month, I interned at Studioapart under the supervision of owner Kike Macias. I completed a variety of projects for him, including two apartment designs, a hotel lobby facelift, and research about a cafe he was designing. The bright colors and loud patterns of the city offer inspiration for future projects. To this day, I consider that one of the best months of my life. From traveling to Madrid and hiking the mountainous Monserrat, to a weekend spent in the beautiful Costa Brava, it was certainly the experience of a lifetime.

Later that year, I was also chosen among three other Interior Designers in my program to join the Michael Graves College Architecture program to study abroad in Rome, Italy for the Spring semester of 2019. In those four months spent in one of the oldest cities in the world, we learned all about Roman culture and ancient history. From visiting just about every tourist site such as the Colosseum and Fontana Di Trevi, to traveling to Florence, Naples, Pompeii, Pisa, and more, I could not have asked for a better semester. I was even 10 ft. away from the Pope on Easter Sunday! I was highly inspired by the architecture and beauty of Italy, and I believe that will stay with me throughout my career and life. I am eternally grateful to Kean University for that opportunity.
